ORIENTATION ACTIVITIES

To help new students get acquainted with the HKUST community as soon as possible, our Office is organizing a series of induction programs exclusively for incoming exchange students before the semester starts. The induction program comprises two parts, 1) Online Pre-arrival Orientation sessions and 2) In-person Orientation Program activities at HKUST.

Online Pre-arrival Orientation Sessions [6 - 14 January 2026]

Our Online Pre-Arrival Orientation sessions aim to help you gain a better understanding of Hong Kong's local culture and prepare you for your studies at HKUST before your arrival. Click here to view the schedule of the Online Pre-arrival Orientation sessions.

In-person Orientation Program [29 January - 30 January 2026]

You are required to attend the 'Orientation Session' and the 'Academic Induction' on 30 January 2026, where you will learn about the essential information for your exchange study at HKUST. Click here to view the detailed orientation schedule.

Remarks: The earliest check-in date to the HKUST student housing is 10am, 28 January 2026. New incoming exchange students should plan their arrival on 28 January 2026 so that they can join orientation activities starting from 29 January 2026.
