Teddy LIU

Hello everyone! My name is Teddy and I'm currently a year 1 student in the Technology & Management Dual Degree Program, studying Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering and Business.

Born and raised in Hong Kong to mainland Chinese parents, I grew up speaking Mandarin and English while attending international school, which gave me a unique blend of Eastern and Western perspectives. I spent my youth swimming competitively and playing basketball, but I'm always trying out new sports like table tennis, volleyball, or billiards. Outside of academics, I'm passionate about building things, from entrepreneurship projects to design, and I'm an aviation and Formula 1 enthusiast who loves understanding how things work.

Beyond that, I'm love traveling and experiencing different cultures. I've visited 13 countries so far and hope to reach at least 50! Whether I'm exploring Hong Kong's hiking trails, discovering hidden restaurants, or collecting watches (I'm a big watch enthusiast), I'm always curious about the stories behind what I encounter.

Through Spark Global 26-27, I'm excited to meet people from diverse backgrounds, learn from different perspectives, and build meaningful connections that strengthen our HKUST community. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
