Many of the world’s best institutions offer a wide range of programs in summer, including summer programs and language courses. Students can apply for these programs with the host institution directly with a registration with Office of Global Learning Experience.

To Apply

1. Apply directly to the host institution

• There is no nomination required from HKUST. Students are responsible for reviewing the program details and take care of the whole application process with the host institution.
• Please ensure you follow the requirements set by the host institution for the application process, offer commitment process, payment deadline, course selection procedures, and all other instructions given by the host institution.

2. Obtain Pre-approval from your Major Department/Program Office and register with Office of Global Learning Experience

• Complete the form “Application for Pre-Approval at Other Institutions (for Undergraduate students)" and obtain signatures from BOTH your Major Department/Program Office AND your School.
• Submit Registration of Pre-approved Self-arranged Study in MyStudyAbroad System.
