Students can participate in a study abroad program spanning from 2-4 weeks during the Winter Term by applying through Office of Global Learning.

Overview
A wide range of study abroad programs are available in Winter. The programs take place between December and January. Students applying through HKUST Office of Global Learning would be able to enjoy the below benefits:
- Create a study abroad record and start your credit transfer application process early
- Experience a more seamless application process by obtaining advice from OGL
- Be part of the peer circle created in pre-departure briefing sessions specially arranged for students who participate in winter study abroad programs
- Be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan if eligibilities are fulfilled
- Funding Support is available for students who participate in winter study abroad programs
