Saadman HASAN

Although my name is pronounced as "Sad-Man" (he/him), I swear I'm not the melancholic guy my name claims to be! Born and raised in Bangladesh, I've always had a keen interest in international cultures and lifestyles. I love traveling to new places, whether they be local or international, try different foods, meet new people, and learn about their traditions and culture. In my spare time, I like to watch movies and TV series, with my favorite genre being horror ;). Other times I like to watch sports, go hiking around Hong Kong, or just hit the gym with my friends.

Despite the similarities between the weather of Bangladesh and Hong Kong, I was quite intrigued by the vastly different traditions and cultures of these two places. Being an international student, I have learned about the diverse communities and their cultures here during my first year at HKUST. I want to share those experiences with other students. In addition to being an ambassador of diversity and culture as a Spark Global Leader, it'll always be fun to make friends and visit new places through the events we will be organizing this year!
