Hello everyone! I am Nikil (he/him). I am a first year student in the School of Engineering. I will choose my major in the second year, hopefully I can get into my desired program (it's CBE by the way). Born and raised in Sri Lanka but I have been exposed to many different cultures due to my family vacations in other destinations since I was small. The experience made me appreciate and grow accustomed to other cultures (and especially their food).

Hello everyone! This is Nayab (she/ her). Sending you a warm salam, or As-Salaam-Alaikum in Arabic. I am a sophomore student majoring in Biotechnology and Business. Born and raised in Hong Kong as a third-generation Pakistani, I have completed my education in local schools. Seeing how it is on the ground, I really wouldn't want Cantonese to be a dividing force but a binding one. I have seen a fair share of both the local and the international cultures and I am truly grateful for this experience, as it made me a global citizen.

Hi, everyone! This is Murphy (she/her), an adventurous local student. I love exploring new things with friends, like skateboarding along the harbor to enjoy the amazing night view and going for overnight camping to catch the sunrise. I’m recently trying to learn some skateboarding tricks, even though I'm always afraid to fall. Catch me if you have any tips for me! I also enjoy classical music, gardening and arts; you can also find me in concert halls, flower markets and museums. Let me know if you want to play a duet!

Hello everyone, my name is Misaki (she/her). I am an exchange student from Japan, raised in Singapore. Having met many people from diverse cultural backgrounds in Singapore, I have loved discovering more about cultural practices I had never heard of before. Since I am a foodie, I especially love learning more about local and traditional dishes. I also enjoy sharing about Japanese culture because there is a lot more to it than what you see in the media. I've always been highly involved with multicultural initiatives and thrived in a diverse environment, so I can't wait to keep that going in Spark Global!

Hi everyone, I'm Lynn (she/her), a year 1 student from the School of Engineering. I was born and raised in Mainland China, but also have studied in Hong Kong and abroad. That gave me more connections with various communities across the international, local, and Mainland Chinese groups. Besides my academics, I have a passion for music and hiking. I have been playing the piano, violin; and lately I'm learning to play the guitar. Hiking is another activity that I enjoy, and I love exploring the natural beauty of the outdoors while testing my physical limits.
