Darsh LALWANI

Hi, this is Darsh (he/him). I am excited to participate in walks, hikes and other activities that allow HKUST students from various backgrounds to explore Hong Kong and connect with fellow students. Most importantly, I am excited to share my innovative ideas to create events that foster connections, break barriers and facilitate meaningful interactions among students.

Daniel LIN

Hi, my name is Daniel (he/him) and I’m an exchange student from Australia studying Finance and Computer Science. I enjoy spending time with friends and making new ones, so if you see me on campus, don’t be scared to come up and strike up a conversation!

Daksh SRIVASTAVA

Hello everyone! I am Daksh (he/him) and I am a BBA student, hoping to major in Finance. I've lived in India all my life. I love playing football and I've been playing it since I was 5 years old. In fact, I like playing all kinds of sports in general.

By being a Spark Global Leader, I hope to create an inclusive and fun environment for all students at HKUST, and of course, I hope to have lots of fun and make many friends in the journey!

Boya SHI

Hi! I am Boya (she/her), a second-year student majoring in Finance. I was born and raised in Mainland China and pursued A-level in high school before joining HKUST. Living and studying in Hong Kong has given me a unique perspective on the fusion of different cultures and the beauty of inclusivity. One of my life passions is to travel and connect with people from various backgrounds. Also, I’m a music lover. I like listening to all kinds of music and especially have a special bond with Chinese traditional opera.

Aru BAYADILOVA

Hey! I am Aru (she/her), an international student, originally from the land of the great steppes, Kazakhstan. I am a first-year student majoring in Information Systems (BBA). Meeting people from different backgrounds, connecting with them, and experiencing the diversity of cultures through friendship energize my inner world. This was one of the reasons for choosing Hong Kong for my bachelor's degree and becoming a Spark Global Leader.

Anastassiya SOLOVYOVA

Hi there! 👋 I'm Anastassiya (she/her), a second-year student from Kazakhstan. I enjoy taking film photos, exploring delicious food spots in Hong Kong, and trying new things like windsurfing!

I'm here to bring diversity and fun to Spark Global. I love learning about different cultures and trying new experiences. I'm all about capturing memories, savoring good food, and seeking new adventures. Let's make Spark Global '23-'24 amazing together! 🚀✨

Alicia UTAMA

🌟Hey there, I'm Alicia (she/her), hailing from Indonesia. Currently, I'm a first-year Engineering student with a dream of pursuing Mechanical Engineering. RnB music and gazing at blue skies are my absolute sources of joy. While I adore watching cooking shows, my talents in the kitchen are somewhat lacking.

Abdullah IMTIAZ

Hey everyone, Abdullah (he/him) here! I'm a year 1 SENG student who has previously lived in Hong Kong and Pakistan. I joined Spark Global as an opportunity to be a part of a program that gives life at HKUST a fun touch, and because of its aim for diversity and inclusion in all aspects.

Aarov PRASAD

Hi everyone, I'm Aarov (he/him). I'm a year 3 student majoring in Computer Engineering. I've lived in India my entire life, and chose to come to Hong Kong for further studies. I like to play football and the piano.

As a Spark Global Leader, I want to create a unique environment at HKUST that is diverse and inclusive. I'd love to meet new people through hosting various social events.

Catheline DODEL

Hi everyone, I’m Catheline, or just Cath (she/her). I’m a full time year 1 UG student in the School of Science, who loves playing volleyball and being artistic. I’m half Hong Kong, and half German, but spent most of my life in various international schools in Mainland China (a few years in Qingdao, but mostly in Shenzhen). Growing up in international schools exposed me to a lot of different people, and their equally diverse cultures. However, moving back to Hong Kong for these past two years has helped me begin reconnecting with my roots.
